$380 Billion in Oil and Gas Projects Deferred

This Offshore Engineer article cites a Wood Mackenie study indicating that $380 billion in upstream oil and gas projects have been put on hold as a result of the fall in oil prices. Just in the last half of 2015, 22 projects were shelved, on top of 46 projects already deferred. Following the layoffs of the recent recession, 86 percent of construction employers report skilled labor shortages.
